Dinges, a 22-year-old right-handed catcher, was drafted by the Brewers in 2024. He played 47 games as a catcher and 30 as a designated hitter in 2025, showcasing his versatility.
His offensive stats are impressive: a .300 batting average, 13 home runs, and 62 RBIs in 77 games between Carolina and Wisconsin. He was one of the few catchers in the minors to achieve an OPS over .900, a remarkable feat.
However, a strained hamstring hampered his progress late in the season, affecting his performance in the Arizona Fall League.
"Opposing pitchers quickly realized Dinges' potential," Del Chiaro noted. "His bat speed is elite, consistently reaching 75 mph in games, which is on par with the best in the majors."
Dinges' swing has evolved over time. "I've always had a powerful swing, but it wasn't until I built strength that the results started to show," he explained. "I've always been confident in my approach, and it's paid off."
Defensively, Dinges is an asset with his strong arm and athleticism. However, he needs more game experience to refine his game-calling and pitch-framing skills.
