Deafheaven's George Clarke Teases New Music and an Extensive Tour for 2026
In a recent interview, Deafheaven's frontman George Clarke revealed exciting news for fans. He confirmed that the band will release new music in 2026, marking a departure from their traditional release schedule. Clarke stated, 'We will have new music next year,' adding a sense of urgency to the announcement.
This news might come as a surprise to long-time fans, as Deafheaven has typically taken a measured approach to releasing new material. Their latest album, 'Lonely People with Power,' dropped in March 2025, and it's been roughly four years since their previous album, 'Infinite Granite,' which was released in 2021. Before that, album gaps ranged from two to three years.
However, the nature of the 'new music' remains a mystery. Clarke didn't specify whether it will be a full-length LP or a smaller-scale release, leaving fans to speculate and hope for another album.
But that's not all! Clarke also hinted at an extensive tour throughout 2026, stating, 'We will be touring a lot. So, we’re gonna be very, very busy. It will be busier than this year, which is a blessing.' As of now, the band has only announced a few European dates and a stop at the Sick New World festival in Texas. However, Clarke's comments suggest that more North American concerts might be on the horizon.
