Ethan Cole, a Fond du Lac native and 2022 graduate of Winnebago Lutheran Academy, is gearing up for his first full spring training with the Colorado Rockies. This exciting development comes after Cole was selected in the 20th round (587th overall) of the MLB Draft by the Rockies last summer. Before turning pro, Cole honed his skills pitching for his hometown Northwoods League team, the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders, where he emerged as one of the area's most promising young pitchers. After being drafted, Cole began his professional journey in Arizona at the Rockies' training facility, where he took some planned rest due to the high workload from college and summer seasons.
