From Leith to the Colosseum: Lewis Knox's Bare Knuckle Boxing Journey (2026)

Imagine a world where your wildest dreams become reality, a world where you can step into the arena and feel the rush of adrenaline coursing through your veins. This is the story of Lewis Knox, a true gladiator of our time, who has risen from the streets of Leith to become a champion bare knuckle boxer.

Lewis, a father of three and a former Hibs casual, has an incredible journey that will leave you inspired and eager to learn more.

Born and bred in Leith, Lewis attended Lorne Primary and Leith Academy, where his love for sports and the local culture began to take shape. With a family background in football and bodybuilding, it's no surprise that Lewis found his passion early on.

"My childhood was filled with memories of my mum working hard, and spending time with my grandparents. I grew up in a world of boxing and football, and it shaped who I am today," Lewis shares.

But it was his decision to leave school at 16 that set him on a path less traveled. Lewis funded his love for designer clothes and the hooligan pub culture by taking on various jobs, from laboring to working for the council. Yet, his true calling lay in sports.

"I had the chance to go to Canada on a football scholarship, but love changed my plans. I met my fiance, Robynn, and our lives took a different turn," Lewis explains.

As a young man in his mid-20s, Lewis feared his athletic dreams were fading. But fate had other plans. A chance encounter with the world of bare knuckle boxing at the O2 arena in London ignited a fire within him.

"I realized I thrived in the intensity of combat sports. The rush, the adrenaline, it's like nothing else. I knew I had to give it a go," Lewis recalls.

And give it a go he did! Lewis threw himself into training, and his natural talent and determination soon paid off. He became a professional bare knuckle boxer, fighting his way to the top.

But here's where it gets controversial... Lewis' journey hasn't been without its challenges. He's faced broken hands, gashes, and scars, all in the name of his passion.

"It's tough, but I draw inspiration from my mum, a single parent who achieved so much. Just because you have a family, it doesn't mean you can't pursue your dreams. My missus is my rock, and together, we make it work," Lewis says.

And work he does! Lewis has risen to become the third-ranked featherweight boxer in the UK and 16th in the world. He's fought in Australia, signed with Conor McGregor's promotion, and his sights are set on world domination.

"I want to reach the very top of BKFC and have a big fight in America. It's an intense, raw sport, and I thrive in that environment. I feel at home in the arena, like a modern-day gladiator," Lewis shares with passion.

Lewis' story is a testament to the power of pursuing your dreams, no matter the obstacles. It's a reminder that sometimes, you have to take a leap of faith and embrace the unknown.
