The results were even more frustrating when compared to the success of the factory KTM team, with rider Pedro Acosta charging to a one-two finish and an early lead in the world championship.
"We're clearly disappointed, especially when we see the factory team's results," Goyon continued. "It's a double blow, no doubt. We had good tests at Sepang, but here, we struggled, just like last year with our riders. Qualifying has been our Achilles' heel once again."
The weekend was a bitter pill to swallow, and the team is under pressure to turn things around quickly. Meanwhile, Acosta's team-mate, Brad Binder, scored points in both races, finishing sixth and seventh, adding to the contrast in fortunes.
