60-Year-Old Supermodel Paulina Porizkova Shares the Reason Behind Her Fiancé's Success on the Dating App
In a recent Instagram video, 60-year-old supermodel Paulina Porizkova revealed the intriguing reason why she swiped right on her fiancé, Jeff Greenstein, a 63-year-old television writer. Their story began on a dating app three years ago, and it's a tale that showcases the power of self-awareness and a well-crafted profile.
Greenstein, known for his work on Friends and Will & Grace, initially struggled with his dating profile. He admitted, "My profile pictures were a disaster. I should have asked one of my female friends to help, but I was too shy." He humorously described his photos as "tragic," including one with rimless glasses that made him look like Steve Jobs but ended up casting him as a dentist in a David Cronenberg film.
His description of himself was equally challenging. "Six foot seven," he said, "is a bit off-putting. Most guys round up to six-eight." He also included ambiguous details like "Ambidextrous" and "Southern but you can’t tell till you get to know me," which he later realized could be misinterpreted.
Greenstein's greatest accomplishment, according to his profile, was "convincingly mimicking the traits of an extrovert." He joked, "Why was I telling women I believe lying is what I’m best at?" His social media, he admitted, wasn't much better, looking like "the Instagram of a serial killer."
Despite these shortcomings, Porizkova was drawn to Greenstein. She wrote in her caption, "It’s a good thing my love picked the right song to play under the profile pics and the short caption about himself." The song, "Modern World" by Jonathan Richman and The Modern Lovers, resonated with Porizkova because it reminded her of her love for Richman and her connection to the band.
Greenstein's monologue at the Ruskin Theater in Santa Monica explained the impact of his profile. "I struck a pleasure center," he said. "My gal loves Jonathan Richman. Her oldest son’s named after him. An ex-Modern-Lover was in her late husband’s band. So ‘Modern World’ was the ideal song, despite my boldly promoted shortcomings, to pique her interest."
Porizkova, a former wife of The Cars' singer Ric Ocasek, has two adult children, Jonathan and Oliver. She and Greenstein, who got engaged in 2025 after two years of dating, recently launched a podcast called Twenty Good Summers, reflecting their shared optimism for the future.
